Hand lettering, my gateway drug to design.

Lettering

Hand lettering has become an essential element of my design work, transforming the way I approach creativity and communication. What began as a way to sharpen my eye for type and letterforms turned into a practice that shows up in everything I do — from brand identities to sales event branding to a collaboration with Crayola. It's the part of my work that feels most like me.

3D Type Explorations

I started teaching myself 3D programs as a way to push my lettering further — and it opened up a whole new creative direction. Taking hand-drawn letterforms into three dimensions adds depth, texture, and a level of detail that's hard to achieve any other way.

The words 'Stay Hydrated' written with water on a light blue background.
A 3D neon sign displays the phrase 'Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard' on a dark background.
Neon sign with a quote that says, "The harder you work the luckier you get," in blue and green cursive lettering on a black background.
Colorful graphic with text that reads 'May this year be filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities' against a blue background with small stars and dots.
Colorful letter-shaped candies arranged to spell the phrase "Never Surrender" on a dark background.
Bright pink neon-style text on a blue background reads 'Follow your Heart!' surrounded by colorful small hearts and dots.

iPad Lettering

The iPad gave me a new way to letter — faster, more flexible, and with a level of precision that paper can't always offer. I use custom brushes to keep the handmade feel alive while being able to experiment with color, texture, and style in real time.

The Beat Magazine

Outer Voice's The Beat tapped me as a guest illustrator to create typographic treatments of hip-hop lyrics that have inspired and motivated me over the years — Rakim, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Nipsey Hussle. Where lettering meets the culture.
